District 7870 Rotary Leadership Event

At a recent meeting, Dana mentioned that the Rotary District 7870 is holding a daylong online Rotary Leadership Institute event on Saturday, March 12 from 8:30 am to 3 pm.

Both Carrel Moore and Jon Endres have attended the inperson version of this event, and have endorsed it.

So what exactly is this this? It's a series of seminars on topics such as:
  • A Look Outside the Club
  • Membership Orientation and Activation
  • Introduction to Leadership
  • Creating Service Projects
  • Problem Solving Workshops
  • Vocational Service
  • Effective Committees
  • Membership
  • Development
  • The Rotary Foundation
  • Analyzing a Rotary Club
  • The Object of Rotary
  • The District
  • International Service
  • Problems of Leadership
  • Creative Service
  • Written Communications
  • Motivating Rotarians and Effecting Change
Basically, it is designed to help develop and enhance leadership skills that apply to both Rotary and other organizations in which you participate.

No obligation is incurred to become a club president, and any Rotarian can take the course. The cost is $25.
