New Meeting Venue: The Elks Lodge Carriage House
February 1, 2022The Elks Lodge Carriage House has been completely renovated and is now the home for our regular meetings on Fridays. This space is very welcoming and we are grateful to the Elks Lodge for letting us utilize this space for a very modest fee to cover heating.
This location requires some changes in our meeting logistics. The primary considerations are due to not having storage space and having to bring in everything necessary for lunch.
January Suitcase Project Bennington County Open Arms The idea for the organization was born in summer 2021 with a dream of welcoming asylum seekers from the US southern border, but by August the situation in Afghanistan became a crisis. The group turned their attention to how they could have an impact by welcoming refugees from Afghanistan, and found almost immediate support and encouragement from community members and leaders in Bennington County.
List of items for health care needs and cleaning supplies were provided and Rotarians donated items to support this effort. It is anticipated this need will be revisited in the near future.
