Intract Club - Secretary

December 1, 2019

McKenzie Kelley
My name is McKenzie Kelley and I am the secretary of the Interact Club. I joined the Interact Club freshman year and quickly learned about the importance of giving back to others. In addition to Interact, I am a member of my school's chapter of the National Honor Society. There, we also volunteer in the community and in school events I also lifeguard and teach swim lessons at the Bennington Recreation Center. Working at the pool has opened up many opportunities to connect with a diverse group of individuals in my community. I am Red Cross certified in CPR, AED, First Aid, and (of course) lifeguarding.

The Interact Club has helped me develop skills that I will use for life. I am learning how to be a leader, how to encourage other Rotarians to become involved. I have learned and experienced how rewarding it is when I make a difference in some one's day. After university, I plan on attending medical school and becoming a surgeon. I believe my newfound leadership skills will help me become a better, well-rounded physician who can personally change people's lives.
