Meet Our Webmaster - Jen Holley

December 1, 2018

Jen Holley, Websites & More
Jennifer has been running Websites and More since 1994. She is the host for a variety of different organizations. She designs and runs the sites. She has been hosting the Bennington Rotary Club website since 2008. In 2016, The Bennington Rotary Club received a certificate commending the excellence of the website.

The site is one which members should visit for it not only provides up-to-date information on the club's monthly activities, but useful information about Rotary International. Members can also get information about other members as well as their contact information. In the member's section, there are Board Minutes as well as past newsletters.

Non-Rotarians and those thinking about joining Rotary would also gain a great deal by reviewing the information about the club and about Rotary International. There is also information about the history of the club as well as links to various community organizations and social media sites.

Jen keeps the site current, takes care of the domain name and all of the expenses related to running the site. When she first set up the site, she had an agreement that the club would donate her fee in her and Rotary's name to a charitable organization of her choice. Among those receiving the gift were Mt. Anthony's Girls Athletic Program, the Police Department's Explorer Committee and a Woman's Softball team for children. However, that did not work out and as of last year the club pays for the service.

Jen notes that the site is as good as the material she receives from the club. She thinks adding videotapes of the speakers on youtube is a fine idea. She would also like to be able to post a new brochure and monthly minutes in the Member's Section of the site. The more information members provide her, the more she can continue to enhance the site. benningtonrotary.com
