Passing the Gavel

At the end of each Rotary year in June, that year's president passes the gavel and the responsibilities for the club to the incoming president. This year Vicki Wilson passed the gavel to Jerry Albert.

Since the Jim Ross Pavilion was built, this ceremony takes place at the pavilion. First the members enjoy a buffet lunch. Then the club has its usual ceremony of song, pledge, recital of the Four Way Test, and invocation.

Then gifts are given to the outgoing board and outgoing president. Then Lisa Byer and David Newell, assisted this year by Mike Nigro. gave out a series of awards to Rotary members.
