Fourth of July - Bell Ringing
August 1, 2017Once again the Bennington Rotary Club organized the ringing of bells throughout Bennington at 2 pm on the Fourth of July. Members representing each of the thirteen colonies rang the bell by the town offices. Each year the club honors an individual or an organization as they ring the bell the fourteenth time to indicate Vermont's entry into the United States. This year Dan Lucy was the person selected to ring the bell and receive an award. This was in honor of his work as the liaison with The Rotary Interact Club.
