Nancy Peers Brookdale Filmore Pond

Nancy Peers is the Executive Director of Brookdale Filmore Pond where she oversees all aspects of the operation. Every decision goes through her. There are eighty staff members and a range of teams and departments. Nancy oversees health care, operational management, civic engagement, fund raising, sales and marketing.
There are one hundred and twenty five residents in three levels of care; independent living, assisted living and memory care. Assisted living consists of help in bathing, dressing, walking and whatever is needed. There is the main building with one or two bedroom apartments and a common space. There are also cottages for single people or couples.
Nancy was born and raised in Rochester New York. She spent most of her adult life there. She has also worked in Pittsburgh and New York City. She earned her degree in Business with a minor in Accounting. Most of her education in health care came from experience. She started working in a hospital setting, developing a variety of programs. This led to finding out about state and federal regulations and every aspect of health care. Nancy has been in health care for thirty five years.
Nancy as an extensive family with an older sister and two brothers,
thirteen nephews and nieces and nine great nieces and nephews.
Nancy has been in Bennington for twenty-one months. When she was researching the community, she was excited about the richness of its history as well as the cultural resources. She is a theatre and movie enthusiast and has been helping out at Oldcastle. She plans trips for the residents and hope to include theatre in them.
Among her other interests, she plays golf and takes photographs. She loves to travel and is planning a trip to Milan, Italy this year.
Nancy was a Rotarian in Rochester as well as a member of the Chamber. She is community minded and wants to give back through work in Rotary.
