December 1, 2017
Interact has had another busy month of volunteer work. A couple of students helped served dinner at the Museum Members Event on October 20th. Several students joined in the fun of Fallapalooza by helping children decorate the haunted bus and pumpkins at the Hawkins House and also helping kids with and art display at the Tap House. A great time was had by all. There were two area litter clean-ups that Interacters took part in: the Rotary Highway clean-up and also the clean up on Indian Massacre Road. Our members certainly aren't afraid to dig in and get their hands dirty! In a similar fashion, students helped clean up the area around the chestnut trees at the Middle School, as well. Lastly, as we enter the holiday season, many interact members have been busy selling bird seed wreaths and ringing donation bells at JC Penney for the Rotary's Fuel Assistance program. And we're not done with 2017 yet - there are still a few more things on the December calendar for us to tackle! These students are so willing to
be a part of these community events; it makes me proud to be involved with them.
