Welcome Back Judy Hill and David LaForest
August 3, 2012
When former members return to the club, we are always happy to welcome them back because we have missed them and their service to the club. Recently two members were able to return much to our delight. Judy Hill has served as president and David LaForest was treasurer.
They shared their reasons for leaving and what made it possible for them to return.
Judy Hill said, "I had to leave the club as my job with Adelphia Cable was eliminated and the office closed. I then went to work in Manchester for a Oil-Propane company which made it impossible for me to attend Friday lunch meetings. After working in Manchester for five years I returned to Bennington to work for a short period of time. A new job opportunity called me back to
Manchester until March of this year. In March, I am happy to say, I joined the Suburban Propane Team and could not be happier in my job and thrilled to be able to be part of the Rotary Team again."
David LaForest explained, "I had to leave the club for a while because my job demanded a lot of my time and did not allow the appropriate amount of time that rotary deserves. I recently changed jobs and now I have the opportunity to return to the club that I've missed so much. I couldn't be happier to be back."
We know, given their past service, that they have much to contribute to the club. Members who knew them when they were members are glad to see them back and new members will have the pleasure of getting to know and work with them.
